Storms were moving through the day I was painting at the inlet. But a beam of light caught the sandbar created by the inflow of ocean water, making for a dramatic scene.

The Sebastian Inlet 8x10
I frequently paint plein air at the inlet where the ocean water flows into the Indian River. The birds and wildlife are wonderful there. This painting shows two wood storks in the foreground and the beautiful clouds characteristic of Florida.
Greet the Dawn 9x12
This painting was done from memory. I was biking early and saw these dogs just let out of the house. I found it funny how they aligned themselves to greet the day in an almost choreographed tableau.
